Reset (Your Portfolio) Button

Written by Mark Berger
Portfolio Reset button

We’ve had a lot of requests from Survivors who would like to reset their Portfolios and get back to $100,000.

So, we’ve come up with a handy-dandy RESET button that we hope to roll out in June when we open our new Store. We’re thinking that the first reset would be free, like a Mulligan in golf, and all future resets would be priced around $9.95. There would be no limit to the number of resets available to Survivors.

Perhaps it should definitely be a one time free reset !!! However, there should be a limite on the number of resets and the timing….

For example if if the leaders are below the initial $100,000.00 you would not want anyone to take advantage and reset their portfolio at $100,000.00 just before the end of the game.

Besides, this is supposed to emulate an individual’s investment strategy etc….’And you can never restart with what you had if you make a loss’.

@Whinnwon: This site is about learning and having fun. If the reset button helps some people to get a fresh start and begin with new interest, then it’s a good thing. Since it’s a simulation, you can reset a bad fantasy portfolio much easier than eat real losses.

@Blackfeather: If people abuse the reset button, it hurts no one but the individual who is here to learn and pick up new skills. It is extremely unlikely that any time period will produce negative portfolio returns for every Survivor, so your concern is moot.
