Dashboard Changes Coming Soon…
Along with changes to the main navigation and site header, we will be rolling out some improvements to the Dashboard:
- Buddy Requests and new Wall messages will now get highlighted in bright yellow so they are easier to see:
-Video thumbnails from Bloomberg TV are getting added to keep you up to date with the market:
- Your Buddy leader board tab will now accommodate 10 friends, up from 5.
- We’ve added some “power” links to the top of your open positions which we think will be helpful for the “power” users:

Revised Header Design
We’ve revised the top header for all pages and changed the color scheme a bit.
First, the “Survivor of the Day” feature is going bye-bye. While it was cool, it didn’t really say a whole lot. Now, we’re going to feature a new Survivor who is active in the community, about once a week.
Second, we’re putting the top community stock picks, and the best trade from yesterday in the top header.
Lastly, we’re emphasized how many people have actually won a lot of money on the site! In a little over a year, we’ve given away over $152,000 to 441 winners. We might as well emphasize that we do PAY OUT and we’re not a scam.
Here’s how the new top header will look throughout the site, around August 1st:

New Contest Features Monthly Prizes and Loyalty Prize
As we Traders and Investors slog through this tough Bear market (Dow down +20%), many Survivors are already looking forward to the start of the next contest which is scheduled to begin on Monday September 1st.
We are planning several changes based upon user feedback and our desire to make the game easier and more fun to play:
- Your Contest Portfolio will NOT GET ERASED! You will keep all your current stock positions and your portfolio value. If you don’t like your portfolio value, you can always Reset back to $100,000.
- Overall Prizes will be given Weekly and Monthly, in addition to the Daily random prizes. We will give out 10 prizes to best Investors and the best Traders every month.
- The Weekly and Monthly prizes will be calculated based upon percentage return rather than overall portfolio value ranking.
- There is a new Loyalty Grand prize given to the Survivor who racks up the most Loyalty Points every Month.
We are in the midst of finalizing all the details, but as always, let us know what you think!

We’re hooked up with the very smart folks at TradingHistory.com who are providing Survivors with one very good stock trading tip every day.
They scan their enormous historical database of stock prices every day and compare it to patterns that they have observed in the past to make a prediction about one stock. Their accuracy often reaches the 90% level!
It’s really quite elegant and simple. Give it a whirl and then test out their trading ideas with a fantasy stock portfolio!
